Scents- Lab in a Crater - background painting

I am always thinking about what color I can play with and how it may enhance the narrative. As the architecture, shape language and story are all related to creating life, and raising the dead. I feel it makes sense to make the crater/planet red like blood. And the two yellow energy shield added a bit more interest in colors too.
